I have been an avid yogini since the 1970’s. As a child I followed Lilias Folan on my local PBS affiliate faithfully, completely mesmerized by her fluid movement. Classical ballet training was also a pillar in my young life, as well as contemporary dance. Health and wellness (physical and psychological) are also passions of mine; I completed my Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education from the University of Kansas in 1995, followed by years of health education as my profession. I obtained my Master of Science degree in Applied Behavioral Studies at Oklahoma State University in 2004, where I also graduated in 2010 with my Ph.D. in Educational Psychology. I have served multiple roles over the years: educator, professor, business owner, wife and mother. One of my favorite roles continues to be: yoga instructor. I completed my teacher training with TruYoga in 2010 and have been blessed to work with outstanding mentors and students since that time. My goal in every class is to help the practitioner feel the joy and beauty of movement.
