Ranjeeta Rath

I received my professional teacher training from Live, Love, Teach Yoga and began teaching yoga in 2014 in Southlake. I have also completed numerous boot camps and workshops all over US and India. As a child growing up in India, I was exposed to yoga in school and at home and have been practicing it since that time. I have been truly blessed to have learned from some of the greatest yoga teachers and what I share in my classes each day is an accumulation of the methods I learned from them and what I continue to learn from my own daily practice. Every teacher whose class I have attended has influenced my teaching in some way, especially relative to the application of yoga philosophy to practice.

The classes I teach will challenge both your physical and mental edge and each class will be adapted to meet the abilities of the participants in order to encourage growth. The benefits of yoga in my life are numerous: physical strength, mental clarity, increased energy and a greater awareness of the smallest thing around me.  I’ve watched, very humbly, as the yoga community has flourished and the personal growth of its members is a source of inspiration for me”.

When I am not teaching or doing yoga, I love to analyze stock market, travel and spend time with friends and family.

Carol Ann Cain Ackerman

I attended my first yoga class at the YMCA during high school with my dad and left feeling positive that yoga was not for me. Four years later, after my mom’s sudden death in 2006, I found myself in a state of complete numbness; I did everything I could to ensure I wouldn’t feel the pain from losing her.  One day, I looked in the mirror and saw I had put on an extra 70 pounds of nothing but pain, and I realized I needed to change-I wanted my life back. I made the decision to get moving again and with my background in competitive running, I decided to start there.

One day in the summer of 2010, my best friend begged me to try this new hot yoga studio that opened across the street from her apartment. My first Vinyasa class brought up so many emotions that I didn’t at all expect – I felt challenged, yet empowered. I cried, but I also laughed! And I felt confused, wrung out, but felt that something powerful had just happened and it was necessary for me to go back. And I did. Almost every day.

After singing the praises of yoga to everyone that would listen, one day an instructor asked me, “When are you going to start teaching?”  I decided to begin teacher training in the fall of 2013. Teaching has been the most selfless gift I can give.  Each class I get the honor of teaching is unique and powerful. My hope and my intention is to allow a space for connection, for all walks of life, no matter where they are on their journey, and no matter what that looks like for them. My hope is to deliver portable tools that my students can carry with them and use in all situations of their life, whether they’re in the yoga studio or not.
